Team collaborating around a table with notebooks and laptops

The readout process

A clear path from first conversation to a usable baseline—built for teams who already run cloud-hosted applications and need fewer mysteries.

Four stages, one accountable outcome

Every engagement ends with a written readout and a live briefing. We do not leave you with orphaned charts.

Scope the surfaces that matter

We agree which applications, environments, and user journeys are in scope. Out-of-scope systems stay named so silence is intentional, not accidental.

Inventory what already exists

Traces, metrics, logs, billing tags, and runbooks are reviewed as they stand. We note access limits early so findings stay honest.

Build the baseline and gap map

Behaviour under ordinary load is described with units, windows, and caveats. Gaps are ranked by decision impact, not by tooling novelty.

Brief and hand off

You receive an executive one-pager, a technical appendix, and a session with the people who own the next changes—platform, SRE, or product.

What we need from you

  • A named owner for access and scheduling
  • Read access to the telemetry and billing views in scope
  • Two or three recent incidents or slowdowns worth studying
  • A shortlist of applications that matter to customers

What we do not do

  • Install a permanent monitoring product as part of the engagement
  • Promise uptime guarantees or managed on-call coverage
  • Run checkout or payment flows—work is scoped and invoiced separately
